Surya Namaskar Mantras in English and Hindi

Here are the Surya Namaskar mantras in English and Hindi. The Hindi isn’t in Sanskrit. Instead, it’s the Hindi pronunciation with English letters spelling it out for you. You probably already know, but Surya Namaskar – also known as sun salutation – is a Hatha yoga series performed at the beginning of each Hatha yoga and Sivananda class. In this version of Surya Namaska A, from the amazing yoga book Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, there are 12 yoga asanas. Chanting Surya Namaska mantras adds a certain spirituality and peace to your practice that only chanting can give you.
